Online Violin Lessons – How to Play Violin

January 3rd, 2012 No comments

Violin BasicsI guess you are looking for online violin lessons right now, just like me when I first started to learn violin. Well, in this case I strongly recommend you read my learning story before you make up your mind.

It is said that the bow of violin has the ability to resonate with the emotions of the player, this is true. The violin seems to be the most difficult instrument,  it is capable of depicting so many different human emotions through its tunes and this is why there are so many people who would love to learn to play violin.

Nowadays you are facing lots of choices if you decide to learn violin. You could either enroll in private classes or hire a tutor to teach you, or find high quality online violin lessons to learn by yourself, which is probably what you are looking for at the moment. The reason why one would rather choose online violin lessons is, firstly, you can learn/practice at whatever time you like, normally once you signed up you can get access to a whole package of ebooks/videos which can be downloaded to your computer, this way you can learn at your own pace. Secondly, you don’t have to spend a lot of money, private tutors/music lessons would cost you around $50 one hour while online lessons are normally priced at about $30, so you really have nothing to lose. Thirdly, online violin lessons are usually created by experienced violin tutors/players, and some of them have been into this for decades, so you would never go wrong with them.

Above are the top three reasons why more and more people would love to learn violin online instead of enrolling in private lessons/classes. And believe me, if you are really interested in learning violin and ready to put hard work into it, you will finally be there enjoying this wonderful music instrument!

Violin Master Pro is the one that helped me learn how to play the violin, and you can click here to go to their official website. Also click here to check how I did it.

Whatever method you choose to learn violin, you should always enjoy it!

Violin Lessons for Beginners – My Learning Story

Violin Lessons for Beginners - My Learning StroyHey, Julianne here.

If you are looking for violin lessons for beginners, then it probably means you’re in the same position I was when I started to learn violin: in love with violin, but intimidated by it… I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading…

Because this is my whole learning story. The ups, the downs, what things didn’t work and finally one online course that did help me achieve my goal. And the course only cost me $30, can you believe it?(Violin Master Pro, click here to visit their website) Who said it’s impossible to learn on your own?

Ever remember the first time you got excited listening to the wonderful violin melody? I was 8 years old, and would love to be a violinist then. But truth be told, I quit after only two lessons, because I couldn’t stand my mean teacher, she laughed at me and shattered my dream. I didn’t touch my violin since then. I didn’t even want to listen to any violin stuff anymore.

But I guess I’m still in love with violin. It was on the way back home from a concert last April, I thought I should definitely learn to play the wonderful instrument. This time I would never quit, no matter whatever other people say. So I went to a first tutor who turned out to refuse to teach people who are starting the violin over the age of 13, which means I didn’t have a chance. Then a couple more turned me down. Finally I did find one, but since he only cares about the money, what he did was just showing of. It didn’t help me at all, and I threw away 200 bucks.

I was about to quit(again) but suddenly a thought came into my mind: find some online courses to teach myself? I don’t know why I’d never thought of it, but it’s a good idea! I turned to google and found a lot of useful tips and articles out there, and also youtube videos helped me a lot!

Then the problem is, I guess if I really want to make some progress, I might need a whole package of courses including step-by-step tutorials so it won’t be hard to follow. I turned to Google to see what was available and I have to say there are SO MANY CHOICES out there, some hugely expensive some worryingly cheap, so I checked out a load of review sites and a couple of violin forums to see which one is the best, and I found a winner finally: Violin Master Pro(click here to check their website). I was pretty happy with it as I got what I want: it showed me exactly what I should be learning and in the right order too. Considering how hard it is to find a good tutor without even mentioning the cost of each lesson($40-$50 each), they were unbelievable! I put all my hard work into it and now I can play songs that I want (not complex classical pieces!), and that’s good enough to make me happy, since I don’t intend to be a concert violinist or anything like that.

I enjoy each time when I play the most wonderful instrument in front of my family and friends. I love it!

Hope you enjoy learning violin!

Violin Lessons for Beginners - Welcome Post - Violin PicHey I’m Julianne,

First things first, thanks for checking out my website dedicated to online violin lessons for beginners. While searching the Internet for violin courses, (it wasn’t my first choice actually, and you may want to check my learning story later on, so stay tuned)  I didn’t find much information on this, and it took me a lot of time to “sift through” all kinds of courses/reviews, e.t.c. It took me even longer to be an OK violin player finally.  So I think it would be nice to have a site sharing my learning story and helping you guys master the wonderful instrument.

Hope you the best!

Julianne

Violin Master Pro Review - Product Pic

This is my review of what I really thought about Violin Master Pro, if you are looking for their website then click here.

OK, here we go.

When most people want to learn a new instrument, they will turn to a class in their city, or even a professional tutor. But with the exponential booming of the Internet, things are changing. Lots of people would like to try some online courses first, some may ask why, but why not? First, comparing to those expensive classes(some may not even work), online courses cost less. Second, most online courses come with a money back guarantee, if you are not satisfied with it, a refund will be made, you won’t lose anything.

Violin Master Pro comes with a 60-day money back guarantee, so don’t worry if it won’t work.

What I like about it:

  • It’s perfect for starters: cheap and also effective. (only $29.95) If you are considering starting to learn violin from scratch, then go for it. All lessons come in video format, and feature the famous concert violinist Eric Lewis. Eric has been teaching violin for years, playing for even longer, and is world-renowned for his unique style and energy.
  • Learn from your own home, on your own time. Choose a time of day that works best for you and then practice as often as you would like. No need of making appointments and driving across the city to get to the class.
  • Learn at your own pace. If you only want to take one lesson a week, you can do that(But I won’t recommend you do this). If you want to super charge your learning, you can go through all of the lessons at your leisure and learn as fast or as slow as you want.

What I don’t like:

  • Well, using this method you’ll need to rely heavily on self discipline and your own creativity. But if you don’t think you can do that, then violin is not your thing. Go try other instrument, or just enjoy the music.

It’s definitely a good choice for beginners on a budget, actually if you wouldn’t want to waste you money on some crappy tutors or lessons, just try this program.

All the best,

Julianne
