Nowadays you are facing lots of choices if you decide to learn violin. You could either enroll in private classes or hire a tutor to teach you, or find high quality online violin lessons to learn by yourself, which is probably what you are looking for at the moment. How to Play the ViolinAs we all know, violin has a long history, which can be tracked back hundreds of years. It has kept popular among all age ranges through all those years and now for people who love music it’s definitely their favorite. Although it’s never easy learning how to play the violin, nothing could stop enthusiastic music lovers from mastering this wonderful piece of instrument.

Don’t let any other people discourage you. You might have heard that one should start to learn violin at a very young age, but this does not mean adults won’t be able to do this, it’s just a little bit harder. And you should know that learning how to play the violin can be one of the most exciting experiences in ones life. If you really want to learn violin, go for it! I will give you some tips on how to play the violin in the following article, please keep reading.

Although you don’t need to pay big money for violin at the beginning, you do need to start with a good one. You’d better bring somebody who is familiar with violin along with you when choosing one at a local music store, or at least there should be an expert at the store to help you make the decision.

Try to find a good teacher. If you can’t find one, I recommend you try some online violin lessons, as that’s how I learned to play violin and I believe you can too! Please read my learning story here, and Violin Master Pro is the course I’ve used to help me get started, also please read my review here.

The most important part for beginners is to learn how to hold a violin. If you don’t do it right, never expect good results and chances are you might even hurt yourself from the bad habit formed at the beginning. The terrible part is, once you are familiar with the way you hold a violin, right or wrong, it’s extremely hard to change it in future, so don’t try to jump on music playing or stuff like that, do take some time to learn how to hold it. You might not feel comfortable at the very beginning, but once you get the hang of it, the violin would be like a part of your body.

Now that you’ve learned how to hold a violin correctly, the other thing you will need to know is how to read music. For people who don’t have a clue about this, you have to take some lessons at a local music school, or if your friends happen to be experienced in this, just let him teach you. Well, you can also search for some online tutorials to learn by yourself, it’s a bit more difficult but very effective some times.

It take many years to become a decent player, so don’t be disappointed when quick results not showing up. Violins are for die-hard enthusiast, don’t complain, keep practicing, you will finally be there.
